Juanita McLeod

Communications Specialist

Juanita is a spirited communications and marketing professional with over ten years’ experience. Her talent for networking, brainstorming, and negotiating demonstrates an exceptional ability to meet organizational objectives, and we are excited to have her dive into EDI’s communication efforts.

Prior to joining EDI, Juanita has served as NIH’s Employer Brand and Social Media Strategist within the Office of Human Resources - Corporate Recruitment Unit.

Born in England, but raised in Miami, Florida, Juanita considers herself a true Washingtonian after being a DC resident of 18 years. She is a proud Howard University alum who earned her bachelor’s in Communications then went on to get a Master’s in Marketing Management from the University of Maryland University College. Juanita is passionate about social activism and equality and extends that passion outside of work by volunteering for non-profit organizations and causes that uplift and bring awareness to those who face disadvantages.
