Theresa Cabauatan is a bright and ambitious young professional committed to helping others. Prior to joining the National Institutes of Health as an Administrative Assistant for the Guidance, Education, and Marketing Division, Theresa began working as a contractor for the Division of Commissioned Corps Personnel and Readiness. In her role as the Data Entry Technician for the Recruitment Branch, she received, processed, and reviewed applications of candidates for appointment into the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps. She also served as a receptionist and administrative support.

Theresa graduated from the Catholic University of America on May 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing. She was recognized for a number of achievements both academically and professionally. She made dean’s list on numerous semesters and is a member of Pi Gamma Mu, the International Honor Society in Social Sciences.

She interned with the marketing and promotions department of Clear Channel’s DC101/BIG 100.3 radio stations interacting with listeners at station-sponsored events and giving back to the community with free giveaways and prizes. She actively tutored students struggling in algebra and calculus throughout her undergraduate career. She also had the opportunity to represent the Filipino Organization of Catholic University Students as the team captain for CUA’s annual Relay for Life and even volunteered to speak at the event. She is very passionate about raising awareness in the fight against cancer and supporting organizations to find a cure.

She resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, and staying active.
