Dawn M. Wayman is a graduate of Morgan State University and Johns Hopkins University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and her Master of Health Science degree in Epidemiology, respectively. Upon completing her master’s degree, Dawn worked as an epidemiologist for the state of Maryland. Dawn came to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in 2009 to serve as a research coordinator in the Social and Behavioral Research Branch at the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI). There she worked with a team who researched physicians and nurses use of genomics and race in clinical decision making. A 2015 graduate of the NIH Management Intern Program, Dawn most recently served as a management analyst and HR Liaison at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).

Outside of work, Dawn enjoys spending time with family, listening to live music, writing, and baking.
