The National Institutes of Health celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. for his accomplishments in promoting, advancing and influencing legislation to support and uphold equal treatment for all people.
Dr. King’s vision of justice and righteousness embrace the values of decency and mutual respect for all. As a nation, it is imperative that we strive to institute best practices to reduce racial biases and continue to be committed to the basic rights of our citizens.
Join the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and the Black Engagement Committee in "LIFTING YOUR VOICES". "LIFTING YOUR VOICES" is a social media campaign focused around the question of "How does Dr. King’s legacy impact you today"? Tag @EDI365 in your response and use the hashtag #MLKTODAY.
I encourage you to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday and participate in the planned activities and events in the month of January.
