This interactive virtual discussion offers students and faculty an opportunity to meet NIH professionals and learn more about NIH internships and careers. Jenn Evans, an alumni from the University of Chapel Hill, joins us from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS). She will share her story, career highlights, and experience with the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP). John Schelp will provide an overview of NIEHS and Kyle Hartwig from the Office of Human Resources will share information on NIH internships. Additionally, the discussion will end with a Q&A session.

Purpose: The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion’s (EDI) Native American Portfolio is excited to establish a collaborative outreach relationship with the faculty and students of UNC Pembroke, which has a long American Indian history in Pembroke, North Carolina. As part of an outreach relationship, EDI will seek to engage NIH ICs and staff offices in promoting various training, employment, and faculty development activities to this promising institution.
