The Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) is delighted to celebrate this Pride Month with our NIH community. Please join us in celebrating this year's online campaign, 20/20 Vision: Learning From the Past, Looking to the Future, highlighting the visionary work of historical figures and additional members of the LGBT community, within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and other federal government agencies. EDI is excited to feature visionary leaders from across our special emphasis portfolios—Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders, Blacks, Hispanics, Native Americans, People with Disabilities, and Women—to embrace the intersectionality of the LGBT community within NIH's work.
Pride Month is an important celebration that draws attention to the great work of leaders in the LGBT community. NIH is dedicated to facilitating an atmosphere where all individuals are afforded equal access to a safe work environment.
It is imperative to remain committed to the principles of ensuring equal employment opportunity and embracing diversity in research and throughout the workplace. I would like to encourage each of us to renew our pledge to forging an inclusive workplace by welcoming and respecting the views and perspectives of all employees. It is a privilege to work in an environment that recognizes and appreciates diversity in unique skills, talents, and abilities.

Happy Pride,
